REMEMBRANCE OF PAIN - BENEATH OUR SHADOWS (2004)

Primero que todo agradecer a Rafael Muñoz, guitarrista de la banda quien nos comparte este increible disco.

Terminando la década de los noventa, se encontraron en la ciudad de Medellín varios músicos que venían de diferentes tendencias dentro del metal, los cuales, decidieron unirse para unificar sus gustos con miras a un objetivo claro y determinado: formar una banda.

Es así como nace REMEMBRANCE OF PAIN, banda que desde sus inicios se ha caracterizado por una propuesta novedosa y que logra romper esquemas tanto en el aspecto musical como en el visual.

Durante su existencia, la banda, ha llevado su música a diferentes lugares, en donde, el publico logra identificarse con la música, las líricas y en general la propuesta artística.

A través de los años, la banda ha logrado llegar a un punto de madurez grupal e individual, manifestándose esto en las composiciones, las cuales, poseen coherencia y armonía, logrando comunicar las emociones expresadas por los integrantes de la banda, con temas que en general, son un reflejo de las vivencias y la visión que cada uno posee de su entorno.

Actualmente, REMEMBRANCE OF PAIN, cuanta con Manager y con un grupo de trabajo, que está concentrado en la próxima producción llamada: “DESCENDING INTO CHAOS”, el cual, saldrá próximamente al mercado y mostrara nuevas facetas de una banda que se muestra renovada y totalmente vigente.


REMEMBRANCE OF PAIN nació en Medellín-Colombia a finales de 1999.

Su música es una fusión entre Death metal y Hard Rock, compuesta por fuertes sonidos ambientados con sicodélicos y melancólicos pasajes, alcanzando un estilo particular dentro del género.

Su primer Compacto “Beneath Our Shadows”, producido por la misma banda, fue lanzado al mercado en el año 2004, compuesto por 11 fuertes y melodiosos temas de excelente calidad.

Ha participado en las compilaciones: “True Metal Subversión Vol.2” y “Conquer Winter Compilation” del sello londinense Conquer Records, permitiendo su difusión en el continente europeo.

En vivo ha compartido el escenario con bandas representativas a nivel nacional como Masacre, Souledge, Frankie ha Muerto, Tenebrarum, Gaias Pendulum, Cromlech, Athanator, Legend Maker, entre otras.

En su trayectoria ha hecho parte de importantes eventos musicales como:

- I y II Festival Cerro del Ángel – 2000 y 2001- Bello
- La Fiesta de la Música – 2006 – Medellín

- Final regional Antioquia THE TROOPERS – 2008 – Medellín
- Metalmedallo – 2008 - Medellín

En el segundo semestre de 2008 lanzará su segundo disco con 11 tracks donde se podrá percibir la evolución musical y artística de la banda.
